What Does It Take For A Man To Commit?
As a dating & relationship coach for women, one of the main topics I hear about on a regular basis is about what does it take for a man to commit.
Isn’t it interesting that so many women seek the answer to this question all the while they prefer men to lead the dating process. If men struggle with commitment, why would you want a man to lead?
Commitment is a much bigger deal for those of us in the over 40-year-old category because most of us are not seeking to start a family as the primary reason to choose a relationship or even marriage.
In today’s episode, we are going to explore the DEEPER conversation with respect to a commitment from a man’s point of view and I believe every woman needs to hear this… are you game?

“Duty Dating” just sounds so oppressive – not in my wildest can I imagine! Now, the whole “saving yourself” for your husband that got beat into us “girls” big time by parents, teachers, church, what a disaster! First sexual experience with a sick sadistic monster who used sex (or more accurately rape) as a punishment. I know exactly what I want but it’s exactly what I wanted with second marriage – not to spend the rest of my life celibate. That didn’t work out so well either, 17 years of a “pretend” brick wall down the middle of a king-sized bed. I wanted intimacy but he wanted a wife who would make money so he didn’t have to, amazingly adept at convincing me that we were on the same page. There must be a word for that. The question in my mind is, how the heck do I rethink my thinking, or can I, should I?
Rhetorical question, you don’t need to answer that. What you can answer, though. I keep checking out your group and all that assails me is Facebook. I don’t think I can, or will, ever go on Facebook again. Yes, there is a story there but not important. Do you have ways other than Facebook for people to interact?

Well, Jonathon, I’m back listening again because so much to absorb and I’m actually having two meals today as I’ve pretty much run out of things to stuff into boxes. Gary Zukav – adore his work. My all-time favorite is Dancing Wu Li Masters. I do have probably 6 or 7 copies of Seat of the Soul because every time I see one in used bookstore I grab it to give away to somebody He and Linda Francis are wonderful team.
I never did answer what my definition of commitment is. My definition has to be as regards to any living, breathing human of any age or relationship because I believe it transcends everything.I will always be authentically who I am, honest and safe for you to also be authentically who you are. I was this person with little girl I gave birth to. When she was going through her “terrible threes” my family literally said, “Don’t come visit until this phase is over.” I figured I would just sit back and watch the show, allow her to figure out who she was and listen thoughtfully to what she expressed. She grew up to became a lovely woman and a wonderful mother who has a stubborn, obstinate, opinionated little girl that I have already said that when she is three I am going to teach her to stomp her little foot and say “no, no, no, no, no,” and expect to be listened to attentively.
