Linda Curtis says
This was excellent, Jonathon. I have never had to forgive as much as I have had to this year. Interestingly it is the men who have been compassionate and the women who refuse. Today, I once again showed someone the pictures on my phone of the huge allergic reaction I had to what I call the “spray bottle chemical warfare” going on in every single store here. I had to go into one of the worst stores for saying “We have to spray,” because the Co-op just didn’t have what I needed. I explained to the lady in supplements that the allergic reaction is the easy part. The fact that it turns into autoimmune, kicks in my Hashimoto’s and shuts down my thyroid is where the problem lies. Apparently I sounded desperate enough that the lady in supplements went up and told the clerk not to spray anything on the counter until after I left. On one level I understand these people have been told by a “boss” to always spray chemicals. What I am having trouble understanding is how in this free country that is not yet socialist how women can believe they cannot override those orders when another woman comes up and says, “Please don’t spray.” The men will, the woman just say “we have to.” This is way off topic but forgiveness is becoming very difficult even though necessary. I will continue to listen to your podcasts not because I need help finding a partner but because I need to be reminded often that I do have the ability to forgive those endangering my life. So, Jonathon, if people do not tell you often how valuable it is that you each time mention forgiveness, then know that it is. Thank you.
